My two children have attended Emmanuel Christian School since my daughter started there in Year 1 in 2012 . We have been so impressed with the school. In particular, the nurturing environment that the combination of smaller class size and teacher dedication provides. It has enabled both children to have the time and personal attention they needed to develop competency in their learning. Both have flourished in their lessons and in friendships. The lessons are taught to them in an imaginative and encouraging way, with trips arranges to places of interest that develop their curiosity and exposure. Values and heart motives are emphasised which has been fundamental in developing their character, and children of all ages are encouraged to help and care for each other. This boosts their confidence and sense of responsibility and the school operates as an extended family. Although small in size, the school makes a substantial effort in ensuring that the children are able to participate in extra-curricular activities such as swimming, orchestra, chess and sports matches, and they are given ample opportunity to compete in these activites. Initially we commuted to the school, but because the children were so happy there, in time we moved house to be closer so that the school could be our central base . I recommend ECS very highly to parents who wish their children to learn in a postive, nurturing and encouraging setting where they are given lots of personal attention.

Mrs L. Schroeder

Sending our child to ECS felt like joining an extended family. ECS is a caring, nurturing and exciting community where our daughter has thrived in all areas of her development and education. She is encouraged to express her faith and to explore God’s world in reference to him.

Mr and Mrs M. Searles

Our daughter has gained lots of confidence from her time at ECS. We are so grateful for the incredibly caring staff, the individual attention each child receives academically, socially and emotionally; this is mainly due to the small class sizes as well as the ethos of the school. The school feels like a big family rather than an institution.

Mr and Mrs E. Brooks

Emmanuel feels like an extended family and not just for our son, but also for our whole little family.

Finding a good school for your 4 year old can be an overwhelming experience. Even knowing what a good school looks and feels like can leave you feeling daunted when you do it for the first time. Discovering ECS has surpassed our expectations and alleviated any concerns we had about leaving our child’s education and well being in someone else’s hands. At ECS our daughter is being an offered an opportunity to learn , discover and flourish in a safe and caring environment. High standards of teaching are underpinned by a Christian foundation, giving our daughter an opportunity to explore the Christian faith.

I grew up under ECS. I could hardly have asked for a better Primary school! ECS has helped set me up for life, and I’m not sure I’d be where I am now without it. I would recommend ECS to almost anyone, because of the caring and safe environment.
