Emmanuel is blessed with a diverse and gifted staff with a unity of purpose to promote life and learning to the full.

Mrs Lizzy Nesbitt studied Classics and History at Worcester College Oxford. She taught Classics in three different London schools before moving to South Africa in 2008. She taught in a Bible College for a year before the birth of her first child and then for six years in St John’s College, Johannesburg as Head of Latin. At St John’s she led areas of staff and curriculum development as well as setting the national curriculum for Latin and examining it.

The Early Years co-ordinator at Emmanuel is Mrs Natalie Duncan and the class teachers are Mrs Kate Cunningham and Mrs Sue Field. Both teachers have a broad range of teaching experience and creative gifts. They have a commitment to an Early Years setting which is safe, secure and stimulating so that every child can thrive within nurturing boundaries. They are assisted by Mrs Abigail Felce, Mrs Margaret Darwiche and Mrs Rebecca Chappell who bring their distinctive gifts to enrich the setting.

Mrs Ama Senanu leads Key Stage 1. Ama is a passionate and creative teacher who gives children a firm rooting in the fundamentals of their learning while providing space for their imagination and individuality to develop.

She is assisted by Mrs Margaret Darwiche who is also a trained teacher with a gift for enabling every individual to flourish.

Mrs Natalie Duncan and Mrs Corrina Taylor lead the Lower Junior class. They bring a wealth of experience to the setting having between them been involved at Emmanuel for over 20 years.

Mrs Danica Kuiper is from South Africa and brings the wisdom gained from teaching in a wide range of schools, including a girls’ school in South Africa’s city of dreamy spires and a school in the bush.  She has a natural gift with children and a passion for learning in a Christian environment.

Mrs Hannah Palmer and Mrs Corrina Taylor provide support for children with special educational needs so that whatever challenges to learning they may face, they can flourish with appropriate support.

Mrs Jenny Cooke, Mrs Lizzy Nesbitt, Mrs Sue Field, Mrs Kate Cunningham and Miss Audrey Southgate use their specialist expertise to teach Music, PE, Art, Latin and French, providing a broad curriculum across the different age groups.

When you contact Emmanuel Christian School, you will speak to Mrs Beverly Adam, our school secretary. Beverly has served faithfully at ECS for over 15 years and seen many examples of God’s faithfulness to us.
